Section 1. Be it ordained by the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, That the Laws of Baltimore City read as follows:

Subtitle 1. City Comptroller
§ 1-1. Oath of office.
Before assuming the duties of office, the [The] Comptroller[, before entering upon his duties,] shall take the [usual] oath [of office] required by Article IV, § 6(i) of the City Charter.
§ 1-2. [Deputy Comptroller] Clerk to the Board of Estimates.
The [Deputy] Comptroller or the Comptroller’s designee shall [is hereby required to] perform the duties of Clerk to the Board of Estimates
Section 2. And be it further ordained, That the catchlines contained in this Ordinance are not law and may not be considered to have been enacted as a part of this or any prior Ordinance.
Section 3. And be it further ordained, That this Ordinance takes effect on the 30th day after the date it is enacted.
