Informational Hearing - Chronic Absenteeism
For the purpose of inviting representatives from the Baltimore City Public School System and other relevant stakeholders to brief the City Council on the current attendance status throughout BCPSS, with a focus on the causes and effects of chronic absenteeism on youth.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the City Council of Baltimore, That the City Council invites representatives from the Baltimore City Public School System and other relevant stakeholders to brief the City Council on the current attendance status throughout BCPSS, with a focus on the causes and effects of chronic absenteeism on youth.
And be it further resolved, That a copy of this Resolution be sent to the Chair of the Baltimore City Board of School Commissioners and the Mayor’s legislative liaison to the City Council.
