The Solid Waste Management Plan for Baltimore - Repeal and Replace
For the purpose of repealing the Solid Waste Management Plan for 2013-2023 that was adopted by Resolution 14-019, effective October 30, 2014, as amended by Resolution 15-025, effective December 18, 2015; adopting the Solid Waste Management Plan for 2024-2033; providing for a special effective date; and generally relating to the Solid Waste Management Plan for Baltimore City.

Recitals
State Environment Article § 9-503 and COMAR 26.03.03 require each county and Baltimore City to (i) adopt and maintain a comprehensive solid waste plan that covers at least the succeeding 10-year period, and (ii) periodically review and, as needed, amend or revise its plan.
The City’s most recent plan, the Solid Waste Management Plan for 2013-2023, was adopted by Resolution 14-019, effective October 30, 2014, as amended by Resolution 15-025, effective December 18, 2015.
The Department of Public Works has prepared a new solid waste management plan for the City.
Section 1. Be it resolved by the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, That the Baltimore City Solid Waste Management Plan for 2013-2023 is repealed.
Section 2. And be it further resolved, That the Baltimore City Solid Waste Management Plan for 2024-2033 is approved and adopted.
Section 3. And be it further resolved, That a copy of the Baltimore City Solid Waste Management Plan for 2024-2033 shall be maintained on file with the Department of Public Works and the Department of Legislative Reference.
Section 4. And be it further resolved, That this Resolution takes effect on the date it is enacted.
