Informational Hearing - Fair Election Fund Administration

For the purpose of inviting the Fair Election Fund Administrator, the Director of Finance, and the City Administrator to appear before the City council to discuss: (1) who supervises the Fair Election Fund Administrator; (2) the process by which the Fair Election Fund recoups leftover money from candidates following an election; and (3) the timeline and procedures a candidate is required to follow to return funds to the Fair Election Fund.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the City Council of Baltimore, That the City Council invites the Fair Election Fund Administrator, the Director of Finance, and the City Administrator to appear before the City council to discuss: (1) who supervises the Fair Election Fund Administrator; (2) the process by which the Fair Election Fund recoups leftover money from candidates following an election; and (3) the timeline and procedures a candidate is required to follow to return funds to the Fair Election Fund.

 

And be it further resolved, That a copy of this Resolution be sent to Fair Election Fund Administrator, the Director of the Department of Finance, the City Administrator, the members of the Fair Election Fund Commission, the Baltimore City Board of Elections, and the Mayor’s legislative liaison to the City Council.
