Recognizing February as Career and Technical Education Month
For the purpose of recognizing February as Career and Technical Education Month.

Recitals
Whereas, February is Career and Technical Education Month;
Whereas, Career and technical education is education that directly prepares high school students for successful careers;
Whereas, Career and technical education covers many different fields, such as health care, information technology, advanced manufacturing, hospitality, the arts, and business; and
Whereas, Many Baltimore City Public Schools offer career and technical education, allowing students to access state-of-the-art labs, use professional equipment, learn from industry professionals, and experience internships in their chosen field.
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the City Council of Baltimore, That the City Council recognizes February as Career and Technical Education Month.
And be it further resolved, That a copy of this Resolution be sent to the Mayor, the CEO of the Baltimore City Public School System, and the Mayor’s Legislative Liaison to the City Council.
