Whereas, A national study showed that 49% of students have been bullied in one way or another (physical, verbal, or cyber) while in grades 4 through 12;

Whereas, Students who are bullied are more likely to experience depression, anxiety, sleep difficulties, academic problems, and drop out of school than students who are not bullied;

Whereas, Bullying is a public health crisis effecting not only our children but people of all ages;

Whereas, Every October, schools and organizations across the country observe National Bullying Prevention Month;

Whereas, The goal of National Bullying Prevention Month is to encourage communities to work together to stop bullying and cyberbullying by increasing awareness of its prevalence and impact;
