Section 1.  Be it ordained by the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, That the Laws of Baltimore City read as follows:

 

                     Baltimore City Revised Code

 

                     Article - Building, Fire, and Related Codes

 

                     Part II.  International Building Code

 

§ 2-103 City Modifications.

 

The additions, deletions, amendments, and other modifications adopted by the City are as follows:

116.11 Failure to abate a vacant building notice. 

 

116.11.1  Definitions.  “Vacant building notice” means a violation notice issued under this section that designates a structure to be a vacant structure.

 

116.11.2  Citations.  A citation for failing to abate a vacant building notice shall be issued at the discretion of the Building Official until the notice is abated.

 

116.11.3  Penalties.  Notwithstanding § 114 {“Violations”} of this Code, the penalty for each citation issued for failure to abate a vacant building notice is $1,000.

 

116.11.4  Offenses.  Each day the vacant building notice is not abated is a separate offense.
