Section 1. Be it ordained by the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, That the Laws of Baltimore City read as follows:

Article 14. Special Benefits Districts
Subtitle 19. South Baltimore Gateway Community Impact District
§ 19-6. Board of Directors.
(d) Appointment.
(2) Council President appointees.
[2 members of the Board shall be appointed by the City Council President.]
The Council President shall appoint the members of the Baltimore City Council who represent the councilmanic districts overlapping with the boundaries of the South Baltimore Gateway Community Impact District to serve as ex officio members of the Board.
(f) Terms.
(2) Term limits.
(i) In general.
The Bylaws may specify a maximum number of consecutive terms that an appointed member may serve.
(ii) Exemptions.
The Bylaws may not establish term limits for appointed members if the member is an elected official as defined under Article 8, § 2-8 {“Definitions - Elected official.”} of the Code.
Section 2. And be it further ordained, That this Ordinance takes effect on the date it is enacted.
