Fire and Police Employees’ Retirement System - Benefits Enhancements  
FOR the purpose of amending certain provisions of the Fire and Police  
Employees’ Retirement System; changing the definition of “average final  
compensation”; providing a new deferred vested benefit; eliminating the  
2-year waiting period for commencement of post-retirement benefit  
increases; repealing obsolete provisions relating to post-retirement benefit  
increases; changing the interest earned on DROP 2 accounts; providing  
for a special effective date; and generally relating to the Fire and Police  
Employees’ Retirement System.
