Agency Briefing - Baltimore City Police Department  
For the purpose of calling on pertinent agency representatives of the  
Baltimore City Police Department to brief the City Council at minimum on a  
quarterly basis, on how the Department's FY 24 actual expenditures  
compare to prior years and to provide FY 24 quarterly budget projections.  
The presentation is to include a status report on: Overtime Expenses:  
current fiscal year compared to last fiscal year; status on Hiring and current  
number of Vacancies; current fiscal year compared to last fiscal year;  
Equipment/Departmental Needs; Such as tactical equipment, fleet level,  
ext. current fiscal year compared to last fiscal year, and updates on any  
other projected challenges of the Department.  
The Police Department is also requested to provide a comparative report  
of City crime statistics by category.  
Hearing recessed; to reconvene at a later date.
