Title
Sale of Property - a Parcel of Land Lying Within the Market Center West Urban Renewal Project
FOR the purpose of authorizing the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore to sell, at either public or private sale, all its interest in a certain parcel of land known as a portion of the former bed of Baltimore Street, extending from Greene Street easterly to Paca Street, and a portion of the former bed of Paca Street, extending from Baltimore Street northerly to Fayette Street, and no longer needed for public use; and providing for a special effective date.

SECTION 1. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF BALTIMORE, That, in accordance with Article V, § 5(b) of the City Charter, the City Comptroller may sell, at either public or private sale, all the interest of the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore in a certain parcel of land known as the former bed of Baltimore Street, extending from Greene Street easterly to Paca Street, and a portion of the former bed of Paca Street, extending from Baltimore Street northerly to Fayette Street, and more particularly described as follows:
Beginning for the same at the point formed by the intersection of the north side of the former bed of Baltimore Street, 100 feet wide, and the east side of Greene Street, 66 feet wide, and running thence binding on the north side of the former bed of said Baltimore Street, Easterly 294.6 feet to intersect the west side of the former bed of Paca Street, 110 feet wide; thence binding on the west side of the former bed of said Paca Street, Northerly 296.4 feet to intersect the south side of Fayette Street, 66 feet wide; thence binding on the south side of said Fayette Street, Easterly 27.5 feet to intersect the west side of Paca Street, as now laid out, 82.5 feet wide; thence binding on the west side of last said Paca Street, Southerly 330.4 feet to intersect the north side of Baltimore Street, as now laid out, 66 feet wide; thence binding on the north side of last said Baltimore Street, Westerly 322.2 feet to intersect the east side of said Greene Street, and thence binding on the east side of said Greene Street, Northerly 34.0 feet to the place of beginning.
Subject to a full width Perpetual Easement for all Municipal Utilities and Services, not to be abandoned, over the entire hereinabove described parcel of land.
This property being no longer needed for public use.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That no deed may pass under this Ordinance unless the deed has been approved by the City Solicitor.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this Ordinance takes effect on the date it is enacted.
