FOR the purpose of approving certain amendments to the Development Plan of the Union Memorial Hospital Planned Unit Development.

Recitals
By Ordinance 74-536, as last amended by Ordinance 91-838, the Mayor and City Council approved the application of Union Memorial Hospital to have certain property designated as a Residential Planned Unit Development and approved the Development Plan submitted by the applicant.
At the Planning Commission Meeting of March 22, 2007, Minor Amendments to the Union Memorial Planned Unit Development were approved by the Planning Commission that included 3 conditions:
1. The Union Memorial helipad is for hospital/medical services only. No executive transport or other unrelated hospital/medical services are permitted.
2. The flight path for the helipad will be 33rd Street.
3. Use of the helipad in connection with a designated shock trauma center is not included as part of this minor amendment. In order to expand the use of the helipad site for a shock trauma center, the Union Memorial Hospital PUD will have to be amended to authorize the creation of a shock trauma center as a use requiring a major amendment to the PUD.
SECTION 1. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF BALTIMORE, That the Development Plan is amended to provide that shock trauma center use constitutes a major amendment to the PUD and will require approval by an Ordinance of the Mayor and City Council.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That the Mayor and City Council approves the amendment to the Development Plan.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That as evidence of the authenticity of the accompanying amended Development Plan and in order to give notice to the agencies that administer the City Zoning Ordinance: (i) when the City Council passes this Ordinance, the President of the City Council shall sign the amended Development Plan; (ii) when the Mayor approves this Ordinance, the Mayor shall sign the amended Development Plan; and (iii) the Director of Finance then shall transmit a copy of this Ordinance and the amended Development Plan to the Board of Municipal and Zoning Appeals, the Planning Commission, the Commissioner of Housing and Community Development, the Supervisor of Assessments for Baltimore City, and the Zoning Administrator.
SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this Ordinance takes effect on the 30th day after the date it is enacted.
