Sale of Property - Former Bed of Wills Street
FOR the purpose of authorizing the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore to sell, at either public or private sale, all its interest in a certain parcel of land known as the former bed of Wills Street, extending from Philpot Street southerly 477.0 feet, more or less, to the end thereof (Ward 03, Section 07, Block 1815) and no longer needed for public use; and providing for a special effective date.

SECTION 1. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF BALTIMORE, That, in accordance with Article V, ยง 5(b) of the City Charter, the City Comptroller may sell, at either public or private sale, all the interest of the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore in a certain parcel of land known as the former bed of Wills Street, extending from Philpot Street southerly 477.0 feet, more or less, to the end thereof (Ward 03, Section 07, Block 1815), and more particularly described as follows:
Beginning for the same at the point formed by the intersection of the south side of Philpot Street, 60 feet wide, and the east side of Wills Street, 51.0 feet wide, and running thence southerly 476.0 feet, more or less, to the pierhead and bulkhead lines as established August 14, 1950 by the United States of Army Engineers, thence binding on said pierhead and bulkhead lines Westerly 51.0 feet, more or less, to intersect the west side of said Wills Street Northerly 478.0 feet, more or less, to intersect the south side of said Philpot Street and thence binding on the south side of said Philpot Street Easterly 51.0 feet, more or less, to the place of beginning.
Subject to a full width Perpetual Easement for all Municipal Utilities and Services, not to be abandoned, over the entire hereinabove described parcel of land.
This property being no longer needed for public use.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That no deed may pass under this Ordinance unless the deed has been approved by the City Solicitor.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this Ordinance takes effect on the date it is enacted.
