FOR the purpose of redefining "multi-purpose neighborhood center" to exclude certain facilities; and generally relating to the zoning of multi-purpose neighborhood centers.

SECTION 1. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF BALTIMORE, That the Laws of Baltimore City read as follows:

Article - Zoning
ยง 1-163. Multi-purpose neighborhood center.
(a) In general.
"Multi-purpose neighborhood center" means, EXCEPT AS SPECIFIED IN SUBSECTION (C) OF THIS SECTION, a building or a group of buildings used, in whole or in part, for 2 or more governmental or community services, such as health, day care, recreation, legal aid, social services, education, and employment counseling.
(b) Inclusions.
"Multi-purpose neighborhood center" includes Mayor's Stations.
(C) EXCLUSIONS.
"MULTI-PURPOSE NEIGHBORHOOD CENTER" DOES NOT INCLUDE:
(1) A ROOMING HOUSE OR ROOMING UNIT;
(2) A SERVICE AND HOUSING CENTER; OR
(3) A BOARDING FACILITY OR TRANSITIONAL HOUSING FACILITY FOR 20 OR MORE PEOPLE.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That the catchlines contained in this Ordinance are not law and may not be considered to have been enacted as a part of this or any prior Ordinance.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this Ordinance takes effect on the 30th day after the date it is enacted.
