AN ORDINANCE concerning

Sale of Property - Block 1250, Lot 7C and the Former Beds of Portions of Front Street and Terminal Street
 
FOR the purpose of authorizing the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore to sell, at either public or private sale, all its interest in certain properties known as Block 1250, Lot 7C and the former beds of portions of Front Street and Terminal Street and no longer needed for public use; and providing for a special effective date.

  SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF BALTIMORE, That, in accordance with Article V, § 5(b) of the City Charter, the City Comptroller may sell, at either public or private sale, all the interest of the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore in the properties known as Block 1250, Lot 7C and the former beds of portions of Front Street and Terminal Street, and more particularly described as follows:
 
 
Beginning for the property known as No. 400 Terminal Street at the point formed by the intersection of the north side of the former bed of Terminal Street, 30 feet wide, as condemned and closed under Ordinance No. 04-841 approved November 29, 2004 by the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore and the west side of the former bed of Buren Street, 60 feet wide, as condemned and closed under Ordinance No. 430 approved November 16, 1994 by the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore and known as Lot No. 3 as shown on a plat numbered 348-A-25C dated July 27, 2000 and filed in the Office of the Department of General Services, and running thence binding on the west side the former bed of said Buren Street, North 09º 39' 17" West 0.12 foot to intersect the south side of Centre Street, varying in width; thence binding on the south side of said Centre Street, the two following courses and distances; namely, North 38º 19' 02" East 47.06 feet and by a tangential curve deflecting to the right having a radius of 302.00 feet the distance of 32.22 feet which arc is subtended by a chord bearing North 41º 22' 26" East 32.21 feet to intersect the east side of the former bed of said Buren Street; thence binding on the east side of the former bed of said Buren Street, South 09º 39' 17" East 51.99 feet to intersect the north side of the former bed of
said Terminal Street, and thence binding on the north side of the former bed of said Terminal Street, South 80º 26' 36" West 60.00 feet to the place of beginning.
 
Beginning for a portion of the former bed of Terminal Street, 30 feet wide, as condemned and closed under Ordinance No. 04-841 approved November 29, 2004 by the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, at the point formed by the intersection of the north side of the former bed of said Terminal Street, and the line of the southeast side of Centre Street, varying in width, if projected southwesterly, and running thence binding on the north side of the former bed of said Terminal Street, North 80º 26' 36" East 60.14 feet to intersect the east side of the former bed of Buren Street, 60 feet wide, as condemned and closed under Ordinance No. 430 approved November 16, 1994 by the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore and known as Lot No. 3 as shown on a plat numbered 348-A-25C dated July 27, 2000 and filed in the Office of the Department of General Services; thence South 09º 38' 24" East 15.00 feet to the centerline of the former bed of said Terminal Street; thence binding on the centerline of the former bed of said Terminal Street, South 80º 26' 36" West 76.74 feet, to intersect the line of the southeast side of said Centre Street, so projected, and thence binding reversely on the line of the southeast side of said Centre Street, so projected, North 38º 19' 02" East 22.36 feet to the place of beginning.
 
Beginning for a portion of the former bed of Front Street, varying in width, as condemned and closed under Ordinance No. 04-841 approved November 29, 2004 by the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, at the point formed by the intersection of the southwest side of High Street, 50 feet wide, and the southeast side of the former bed of said Front Street, and running thence binding on the southeast side of the former bed of said Front Street, South 37º 57' 32" West 31.78 feet; thence by straight lines through the former bed of said Front Street the two following courses and distances; namely, North 52º 02' 28" West 22.00 feet and North 33º 31' 43" East 36.71 feet to intersect the southwest side of said High Street, and thence binding on the southwest side of said High Street, South 41º 04' 06" East 25.30 feet to the place of beginning.
 
  The courses and distances described in the above three descriptions are referred to the meridian established by the Baltimore City Survey Control System and are based on descriptions written by S. J. Martenet & Co., Inc., for the City of Baltimore on August 24, 2009 (revised on May 31, 2011) and June 15, 2011.
 
  Subject to full width Perpetual Easements for all Municipal Utilities and Services, not to be abandoned, over the entire hereinabove described parcels of land.
 
  The properties being no longer needed for public use.
 
  SECTION 2.  AND BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That no deed may pass under this Ordinance unless the deed has been approved by the City Solicitor.
 
  SECTION 3.  AND BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this Ordinance takes effect on the date it is enacted.
