Title
General Fund Operating Appropriation Transfer - Transfer in the Aggregate Amount of $14,609,694 from Various Agency Programs to the Baltimore City Police Department (Program 201 - Field Operations Bureau)
FOR the purpose of transferring a General Fund Operating Appropriation in the aggregate amount of $14,609,694 to the Baltimore City Police Department - Program 201 (Field Operations Bureau), to provide funding to pay for additional operating expenses in Fiscal 2008; and providing for a special effective date.

Recitals
Article VI, ยง 9(a)(2) of the City Charter provides that, on recommendation of the Board of Estimates, the City Council by ordinance may authorize the transfer of an appropriation contained in the Ordinance of Estimates from one municipal agency to another municipal agency.
The sums to be transferred from the agency programs designated in this Ordinance are not needed for the purpose for which they were appropriated and, therefore, are available for transfer to another agency.
On May 14, 2008, the Board of Estimates recommended the transfer authorized by this Ordinance.
SECTION 1. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF BALTIMORE, That the sums contained in the Fiscal 2008 Ordinance of Estimates as General Fund Operating Appropriations in:
