BY repealing and reordaining, with amendments

  SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF BALTIMORE, That the Laws of Baltimore City read as follows:
 
      Baltimore City Revised Code
 
      Article - Zoning
 
ยง  1142.  Family.
 
  (a)  In general.
 
"Family" means one of the following, together with usual household helpers:
 
(1)      an individual;
 
(2)      2 or more people related by blood, marriage, or adoption, living together IN A DWELLING UNIT as a single housekeeping unit [in a dwelling unit]; or
 
(3)      a group of not more than 4 people, who need not be related by blood, marriage, or adoption, living together IN A DWELLING UNIT:
 
 
 
(I)      as a single housekeeping unit [in a dwelling unit]; AND
 
(II)      SUBJECT TO A SINGLE LEASE, RENTAL, OR OTHER OCCUPANCY ARRANGEMENT APPLICABLE TO THE ENTIRE DWELLING UNIT.
 
  SECTION 2.  AND BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That the catchlines contained in this Ordinance are not law and may not be considered to have been enacted as a part of this or any prior Ordinance.
 
  SECTION 3.  AND BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this Ordinance takes effect on the 30th day after the date it is enacted.
