Sale of Property - Quarantine Road Interchange/Truck Check Weigh Station
FOR the purpose of authorizing the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore to sell, at either public or private sale, all its interest in a certain parcel of land known as the Quarantine Road Interchange/Truck Check Weigh Station and no longer needed for public use; and providing for a special effective date.

SECTION 1. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF BALTIMORE, That, in accordance with Article V, ยง 5(b) of the City Charter, the City Comptroller may sell, at either public or private sale, all the interest of the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore in a certain parcel of land known as the Quarantine Road Interchange/Truck Check Weigh Station, and more particularly described as follows:
Beginning for a Fee Parcel at the point formed by the intersection of the north Right of Way Line Through Highway for the Quarantine Road Interchange/Truck Check Weigh Station, known as Ramp "M", and the northwest side of Quarantine Road, as now laid out 120 feet wide, having a coordinate value of East 1,437,164.395 feet and North 560,924.960 feet, and running thence binding on the northwest side of said Quarantine Road, South 18? 44' 16" West 304.73 feet to intersect the northeast Right of Way Line of Through Highway for the Outer Harbor Crossing (Maryland Route No. 695) and the beginning of the first parcel of land conveyed by W.R. Grace and Company to the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore by deed dated November 21, 1984 and recorded among the Land Records of Baltimore City in Liber S.E.B. No. 373, Folio 71; thence binding on the northeast and north Right of Way Lines of said Through Highway for the Outer Harbor Crossing (Maryland Route No. 695), the six following courses and distances; namely, North 45? 13' 40" West 54.29 feet, North 84? 32' 38" West 411.28 feet, North 82? 46' 32" West 47.71 feet, South 88? 58' 53" West 50.09 feet, South 89? 38' 41" West 124.15 feet, and by a non-tangent arc curving to the left with a radius of 918.51 feet the distance of 111.94 feet which arc is subtended
by a chord bearing North 53? 46' 22" West 111.87 feet to intersect the said north Right of Way Line of Through Highway for the Quarantine Road Interchange/Truck Check Weigh Station, and thence binding on the said north Right of Way Line of Through Highway for the Quarantine Road Interchange/Truck Check Weigh Station, North 80? 40' 40" East 869.12 feet to the place of beginning,
containing 119,981 square feet or 2.7544 acres of land, more or less.
All courses, distances and coordinates in the above description are referred to the true meridian as adopted by the State of Maryland NAD 83/91 Datum.
Subject to a full width Perpetual Easement for all Municipal Utilities and Services, not to be abandoned, over the entire hereinabove described parcel of land.
This property being no longer needed for public use.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That no deed may pass under this Ordinance unless the deed has been approved by the City Solicitor.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this Ordinance takes effect on the date it is enacted.
