Recognizing the Service of Matt Stegman
For the purpose of recognizing Matt Stegman for his distinguished service to the City of Baltimore.

Recitals
Matt Stegman began working for the City of Baltimore in 2019, first serving as the Deputy Director of the Mayor’s Office of Government Relations under Mayor Bernard C. “Jack” Young and later serving as the Director of Fiscal and Legislative Services for the Office of Council President Nick Mosby.
In his present role, Matt has been key in helping the City Council develop as a professionalized 21st-century legislative body that is grounded in efficient operations, fiscal oversight and data-driven, evidence-based solutions. Matt was instrumental in helping the Council navigate the Covid-19 pandemic, making sure the City’s business continued without interruption during an unprecedented crisis.
During his years of service to the City of Baltimore and, previously, the State of Maryland, Matt became a valuable resource for staff, elected officials, and constituents needing advice and information about legislation and legislative processes.
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the City Council of Baltimore, That the Council recognizes Matt Stegman for his distinguished service to the City of Baltimore.
