Ordinance of Estimates Fiscal Year 2019 Capital Contribution to the Operating Budget of the Baltimore City Board of School Commissioners for Fiscal Year 2019
For the purpose of stating that Baltimore City’s Capital Budget contribution to Baltimore City’s Public Schools Capital Budget, as shown in Ordinance 18-139, is $19,000,000, instead of what was stated in Resolution 18-07, the Operating Budget for the Baltimore City Board of School Commissioners; and providing for a special effective date.

Recitals
In March 2018, the Mayor announced that she would allocate an additional $2,000,000 to the City schools for capital costs associated with heating/HVAC systems. The preliminary budget had this amount listed from the general fund.
The Ordinance of Estimates {Ordinance 18-139} provided for a total of $19,000,000, as shown on pages 21 and 22 of the Ordinance, which included the additional $2,000,000 allocated by the Mayor, as shown on page 22, line 5.
The Operating Budget for the Baltimore City Board of School Commissioners {Res. 18-07}, as provided by the School System, did not reflect the additional $2,000,000 allocated by the Mayor to the School Budget, as shown on page 7, line 14, of Resolution 18-07.
