FOR the purpose of authorizing a change in the fees charged for certain services provided by the Planning Department; and providing for a special effective date.

WHEREAS, Fees charged by the City should reflect the cost of providing the service for which the fee is charged.
 
WHEREAS, Using standardized. cost accounting methods, the City has performed a cost analysis of the fees charged by the Planning Department.
 
  SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF BALTIMORE, That the fees charged by the Planning Department are changed to reflect the actual cost of the service rendered, as follows:

      Major Subdivision Review
 
    Commercial - per Acre                        $150                            $200
    Commercial - Minimum                        $500                            $750
    Commercial - Maximum                        $2,000                            $3,000
 
    Residential - Lot                                     $50                             $75
    Residential - Minimum                         $275                             $350
    Residential - Maximum                         $1,000                             $2,000
 
  SECTION 2.  AND BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this Ordinance takes effect on the date it is enacted.
