Recitals
John D. Murdock was born in Baltimore and raised by his grandparents. Educated in the Baltimore City Public Schools, he went on to further his education at the University of Maryland. He was well known, especially in East Baltimore, for his coaching abilities and his mentoring of youths. He was dedicated and worked for the City of Baltimore for over 50 years. He made a difference in the lives of others, especially in the East Baltimore community.
Section 1. Be it ordained by the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, That the name of the Oliver Pool, located at 1641 North Spring Street, is changed to the John D. Murdock Pool.
Section 2. And be it further ordained, That this Ordinance takes effect on the 30th day after the date it is enacted.
