Informational Hearing - Late-Night Commercial Operations
For the purpose of inviting representatives from the Baltimore Police Department, the Board of Liquor License Commissioners for Baltimore City, and the Department of Finance to review the current licensing requirements for clarity, completeness, and intent.

Whereas, the Baltimore City Council will investigate the need for the posting requirements under Article 15, Subtitle 9, “Late-Night Commercial Operations” to include the requirement to inform the local Baltimore Police Department District Commander.
Whereas, the Baltimore City Council will investigate the sufficiency of the current definition of “impact area” as it pertains to § 9-8, “Posting and notice; Objections”.
Whereas, the Baltimore City Council will investigate the need to expand posting requirements to include civic and community associations headquartered in the “impact area”.
Whereas, communities seek late-night commercial operations licensees that operate businesses in a manner that is in the best interest of the public health, safety, and welfare.
Whereas, the Baltimore City Council will seek a review of the role the Baltimore Police Department currently plays in determination of approval or denial of a license application.
