SECTION 1. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF BALTIMORE, That the Laws of Baltimore City read as follows:

Subtitle 25. Public Utilities Taxes
Part 1. Telecommunications Tax
ยงย 253. Rate of tax.
The rate of the tax imposed by this Part 1 is:
(1) [$0.35] $0.40 per month or part of a month for each Centrex local exchange access line or trunk line; and
(2) [$3.50] $4.00 per month or part of a month for every other telecommunica-tions line, whether a residence, business, PBX local exchange, or other wired or wireless telecommunications line.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That the catchlines contained in this Ordinance are not law and may not be considered to have been enacted as a part of this or any prior Ordinance.
