A COUNCIL RESOLUTION concerning
Title
In Support of State Legislation - Senate Bill 218/House Bill 49 - Communication Towers - Zoning and Other Regulatory Approval - Adjacent Local Jurisdiction
FOR the purpose of expressing support for this legislation that prohibits a local jurisdiction from granting zoning or other regulatory approval to a communications tower located 500 yards or less from another local jurisdiction unless that tower satisfies the zoning and other regulatory requirements of the each jurisdiction; respectfully requesting the Chairs and Members of the Senate Education, Health, and Environmental Affairs and the House Environmental Matters Committees to give the legislation a favorable report; urging the Honorable Chairs and Members of the Baltimore City Senate and House Delegations to the Maryland General Assembly to support passage of the measure, and entreating the Governor to sign the measure into law.
