A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL concerning
Title
Elected Official - Salaries

FOR the purpose of setting the annual salaries of certain elected officials; providing that these salaries do not apply to incumbents; providing for a special effective date; and generally relating to the salaries of the elected officials of Baltimore City.

SECTION 1. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF BALTIMORE, That:

(a) The annual base salaries of the elected officials of the City are as follows:

(1) Mayor of Baltimore City $148,000.

(2) Comptroller $ 98,000.

(3) President of the City Council $ 98,000.

(4) Vice-President of the City Council $ 63,000.

(5) Members of the City Council $ 57,000.

(b) (1) Except as provided in paragraph (2) of this subsection, for the second year of their respective terms, beginning in December 2008, and for each subsequent year during their terms of office, the elected officials specified in subsection (a) of this section are entitled to receive an annual salary increase equal to 2.5% of their respective salaries.


(2) In no event, however, is any increase authorized under paragraph (1) of this subsection for or during any term year unless members of at least 1 of the following employee groups, AFSCME, CUB, FOP, IAFF, and ...
