ยง 16-1 DEFINITIONS.

(A) IN GENERAL.

IN THIS SUBTITLE, THE FOLLOWING WORDS HAVE THE MEANINGS INDICATED.

(B) COMPOSTABLE PLASTIC BAG.

"COMPOSTABLE PLASTIC BAG" MEANS A PLASTIC BAG THAT:

(1) IS CERTIFIED AND LABELED BY A RECOGNIZED VERIFICATION ENTITY, SUCH AS THE BIODEGRADABLE PRODUCT INSTITUTE, AS MEETING THE AMERICAN SOCIETY FOR TESTING AND MATERIALS' INTERNATIONAL STANDARD D6400 FOR COMPOSTABLE PLASTIC; AND
