FOR the purpose of expressly including used motor vehicle parts among the items to be reported to the Police Commissioner and held by scrap metal processors, second-hand property dealers, and others; modifying certain definitions; and generally relating to the regulation of scrap metal processors, second-hand property dealers, and others.

SECTION 1. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF BALTIMORE, That the Laws of Baltimore City read as follows:

ยง 8-1. Definitions.
(c) Reportable scrap metal.
"Reportable scrap metal" means:
(1) any used object that consists in whole or substantial part of non-ferrous metal; and
(2) any of the following used objects, whether or not containing non-ferrous metal:
(i) steel gates, railings, and grates;
(ii) aluminum storm door and window frames; [and]
(iii) metal typically associated with heating and plumbing fixtures; AND
(IV) ANY MOTOR VEHICLE PART THAT HAS A POTENTIAL RESALE VALU...
