FOR the purpose of authorizing the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore to sell, at either public or private sale, all its interest in certain property located at 1125 North Patterson Park Avenue (Block 1554, Lot 013) and no longer needed for public use; and providing for a special effective date.

SECTION 1. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF BALTIMORE, That, in accordance with Article V, § 5(b) of the City Charter, the City Comptroller may sell, at either public or private sale, all the interest of the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore in the property located at 1125 North Patterson Park Avenue (Block 1554, Lot 013), and more particularly described as follows:

The R-8 zoned site, comprised of 22,963 square feet, is located in the Berea Neighborhood. The property consists of the former Patrick Henry School, a 3-story building later converted into 15 apartments in the 1980’s, which has been vacant for the past 20 years and which is now boarded and in shell-like condition.

This property being no longer needed for public use.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That no deed may pass under this Ordinance unless the deed has been approved by the City Solicitor.
