FOR the purpose of authorizing the Trustees of the Walters Art Gallery to exchange, sell, or otherwise dispose of certain objects that are not useful to the collection; and providing for a special effective date.

Recitals
The Walters Art Gallery possesses certain objects that are of a character and condition that render them unsuitable for public exhibition.
The deaccessioning of these objects has been recommended by the Board of Trustees of the Walters Art Gallery.
SECTION 1. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF BALTIMORE, That the Trustees of the Walters Art Gallery are hereby authorized to exchange, sell or otherwise dispose of the objects on the list attached to and made part of this Ordinance, entitled “List of Objects Slated for Deaccessioning.”
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this Ordinance takes effect on the date it is enacted.
