  SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF BALTIMORE, That the Laws of Baltimore City read as follows:
 
      Baltimore City Code
 
      Article 19.  Police Ordinances
 
      SUBTITLE 75.  CRIME AND ARREST STATISTICS
 
§ 75-1.  MONTHLY POSTING REQUIRED.
 
WITHIN 8 BUSINESS DAYS AFTER THE END OF EACH CALENDAR MONTH, THE POLICE DEPARTMENT SHALL POST ON ITS WEBSITE AN UPDATED REPORT OF LOCAL CRIME AND ARREST STATISTICS, AS PROVIDED IN THIS SUBTITLE.
 
§ 75-2.  BREAK DOWN.
 
  (A)  MONTHLY AND YEAR-TO-DATE.
 
            THE INFORMATION TO BE PROVIDED IN THE REPORT SHALL BE:
 
(1)       GIVEN FOR THE PRECEDING CALENDAR MONTH; AND
 
 
 
(2)      ACCOMPANIED BY:
 
(I)      HISTORICAL COMPARABLES FOR THE CURRENT CALENDAR YEAR TO DATE,
 
(II)      HISTORICAL COMPARABLES FOR THE IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING CALENDAR YEAR,
 
(III) THE AVERAGE OF THE HISTORICAL COMPARABLES FOR THE PRECEDING 3 CALENDAR YEARS.
 
  (B)  BY DISTRICTS AND CITYWIDE.
 
THE INFORMATION TO BE PROVIDED IN THE REPORT SHALL BE GIVEN BOTH FOR THE CITY AS A WHOLE AND BY INDIVIDUAL POLICE DISTRICTS.  
 
§ 75-3.   CRIME STATISTICS.
 
THE CRIME STATISTICS SHALL BE GIVEN FOR AT LEAST EACH OF THE FOLLOWING CATEGORIES AND THEIR RESPECTIVE SUBCATEGORIES:
 
(1)      VIOLENT CRIMES, INCLUDING:
 
(I)      HOMICIDE;
 
(II)      NON-FATAL SHOOTINGS;
 
           (III)  RAPE;
 
           (IV) ROBBERY; AND
 
           (V) AGGRAVATED ASSAULT;
 
(2)      PROPERTY CRIMES, INCLUDING:
 
(I)      BURGLARY;
 
           (II) LARCENY - THEFT; AND
 
           (III) ARSON; AND
 
(3)      HATE CRIMES.
 
§ 75-4.   ARREST STATISTICS.
 
THE ARREST STATISTICS SHALL BE GIVEN FOR AT LEAST EACH OF THE CATEGORIES AND SUBCATEGORIES LISTED IN § 75-3  {"CRIME STATISTICS"} OF THIS SUBTITLE.
 
  SECTION 2.  AND BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That the catchlines contained in this Ordinance are not law and may not be considered to have been enacted as a part of this or any prior Ordinance.
 
  SECTION 3.  AND BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this Ordinance takes effect on the 30th day after the date it is enacted.
