  SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF BALTIMORE, That the uncodified Laws of Baltimore City read as follows:
 
      Ordinance 10-342
 
  SECTION 3.  AND BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this Ordinance takes effect on the 30th day after the date it is enacted. [This Ordinance will remain in effect for 3 years; at the end of that period, with no further action by the Mayor and City Council, this Ordinance will be abrogated and of no further effect.]
 
  SECTION 2.  AND BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That the codified Laws of Baltimore City read as follows:
 
 
      Baltimore City Code
 
      Article 28.  Taxes
 
      Subtitle 20.  Beverage Container Tax
 
§ 203.  Amount of tax.
 
  The amount of the tax imposed is [2¢] 5¢ per non-reusable beverage container.
 
  SECTION 3.  AND BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That the catchlines contained in this Ordinance are not law and may not be considered to have been enacted as a part of this or any prior Ordinance.
 
  SECTION 4.  AND BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That Section 1 of this Ordinance takes effect on the date it is enacted, and Section 2 of this Ordinance takes effect on July 1, 2013.
