SECTION 1. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF BALTIMORE, That the Laws of Baltimore City read as follows:

Baltimore City Code

Article 28. Taxes

Subtitle 22. Parking Tax

§ 223. Rate of tax.

For all parking, whether on an hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, or longer basis, the tax is [the following percentage] 20% of the fee or other consideration received, directly or indirectly, for or in connection with that parking[:

(1) until June 30, 2013, 20%; and

(2) beginning July 1, 2013, 19%].

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That the catchlines contained in this Ordinance are not law and may not be considered to have been enacted as a part of this or any prior Ordinance.



SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this Ordinance takes effect on July 1, 2013.
