FOR the purpose of authorizing the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore to sell, at either public or private sale, all its interest in certain property known as 5000 Gwynn Oak Avenue (Block 8308, Lot 001) and no longer needed for public use; and providing for a special effective date.

SECTION 1. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF BALTIMORE, That, in accordance with Article II ยง 15(c) of the City Charter, the Commissioner of Housing and Community Development may sell, at either public or private sale, all the interest of the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore in the property known as 5000 Gwynn Oak Avenue (Block 8308, Lot 001), and more particularly described as follows:
The subject property, located in the Howard Park neighborhood within an R-2 Zoning District, is an irregularly shaped lot of roughly 141' by 194.5' that is an improved lot with a single-story school annex building that has an enclosed area of 10,206 square feet, and with the lot itself being 24,398 square feet. The City acquired the property by a deed dated July 18, 1969, and it is currently coded to Education.
This property being no longer needed for public use.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That no deed may pass under this Ordinance unless the deed has been approved by the City Solicitor.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this Ordinance takes effect on the date it is enacted.
