  SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF BALTIMORE, That the Laws of Baltimore City read as follows:
 
      Baltimore City Code
 
      Article 26.  Surveys, Streets, and Highways
 
      SUBTITLE 34.  SNOW PLOWING
 
§  34-1.  DEFINITIONS.
 
  (A)  IN GENERAL.
 
IN THIS SUBTITLE, THE FOLLOWING TERMS HAVE THE MEANINGS INDICATED.
 
  (B)  REAL-TIME.
 
     "REAL-TIME" MEANS ACCURATE TO WITHIN 15 MINUTES OR LESS.
 
 
 
  (C)  SNOW EMERGENCY.
 
"SNOW EMERGENCY" MEANS ANY TIME THAT PHASE I OR HIGHER OF THE BALTIMORE SNOW EMERGENCY PLAN IS IN EFFECT.
 
§  34-2.  {RESERVED}
 
§  34-3.  PUBLIC INFORMATION.
 
DURING A SNOW EMERGENCY, AND AT ANY OTHER TIME DESIGNATED BY THE MAYOR, THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION MUST POST THE FOLLOWING ON A SPECIALLY DESIGNATED "SNOW PAGE" ACCESSIBLE TO THE PUBLIC THROUGH THE DEPARTMENT'S WEBSITE:
                                                  
(1)  A LIST OF ALL CITY STREETS INDICATING THE PRIORITY ORDER IN WHICH THEY WILL BE PLOWED;
 
     (2) A MAP OF THE ROUTES ASSIGNED TO EACH CITY PLOW; AND
 
(3)  A MAP THAT INDICATES IN REAL-TIME WHICH CITY STREETS HAVE AND HAVE NOT BEEN PLOWED OR SALTED.
 
§  34-4.  TRACKING DEVICES REQUIRED.
 
ALL CITY OWNED SNOW PLOWS MUST BE EQUIPPED WITH A GPS, OR SIMILAR DEVICE, THAT ALLOWS THE EXACT POSITION OF THE PLOW TO BE DETERMINED AND TRACKED IN REAL-TIME FROM A CENTRAL LOCATION DESIGNATED BY THE CITY.  
 
   SECTION 2.  AND BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That the catchlines contained in this Ordinance are not law and may not be considered to have been enacted as a part of this or any prior Ordinance.
 
  SECTION 3.  AND BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this Ordinance takes effect on the 180th day after the date it is enacted.
