Baltimore Green Week is a week-long citywide program comprising community events, hands-on activities, forums, and lectures throughout the City to provide information about how a sustainable lifestyle benefits individuals and communities.  This is the 5th year of the event started by regional volunteers to increase awareness of how local residents can make the Baltimore region cleaner and environmentally safer for all who live and work in the Baltimore metropolitan region.

The 2008 Baltimore Green Week Program runs from Friday, April 25 through Friday, May 2 and comprises 15 events, including the Baltimore Green Week Kick-Off Reception in partnership with Art on Purpose, held on Friday, April 25 at the Walters Art Gallery and EcoFestival - Baltimore's premier green festival - held on Saturday, April 26 in Druid Hill Park.

The EcoFestival will host an Eco-Kids section, a new variety of music and food, and a Wellness section that will include 108 Sun Salutations to celebrate the change of the seasons, a rain barrel workshop, toxic tours, and an Eco-Art exhibit.  Students from the Maryland Institute of Art will exhibit a project developed in regard to climate change, and over 100 other exhibitors and vendors are expected to participate.
