Residential Permit Parking - Enforcement
FOR the purpose of providing for the additional enforcement of certain offenses through issuance of parking citations; setting the fine amount for these offenses; and generally relating to the imposition of parking fines for violations of certain provisions of the Residential Permit Parking Program.

SECTION 1. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF BALTIMORE, That the Laws of Baltimore City read as follows:

Subtitle 10. Residential Permit Parking Program
§ 1043. Using invalid permit.
No person may display in any vehicle:
(1) any counterfeit or facsimile of a residential area parking permit;
(2) any permit altered to change its expiration date or any condition of its use; or
(3) a residential parking permit that has expired or is otherwise void.
Subtitle 36. Parking, etc., Fines, Penalties, and Procedures
§ 361. In general.
In addition to the costs stipulated in the Maryland Code, the following fines are imposed for violation of the offenses indicated.
§ 36-1A. $500 FINES.
PARKING IN A RESIDENTIAL PERMIT PARKING PROGRAM AREA WITH A COUNTERFEIT, FACSIMILE, ALTERED, EXPIRED, OR OTHERWISE VOID OR INVALID PERMIT IN VIOLATION OF § 10-43 {"USING INVALID PERMIT"} OF THIS SUBTITLE.
§ 369. $40 fines.
(3) Except as otherwise provided in this subtitle [for the Pimlico Race Track Area or the Camden Yards Stadium Complex Area], parking in violation of posted restrictions in a Residential Permit Parking Program Area is punishable by a fine of $40.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That the catchlines contained in this Ordinance are not law and may not be considered to have been enacted as a part of this or any prior Ordinance.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this Ordinance takes effect on the 30th day after the date it is enacted.
