A COUNCIL RESOLUTION concerning

Congratulating Karen Randle on her Retirement from Baltimore City Government

 

FOR the purpose of celebrating the laudable career of Karen Randle, thanking her for her unwavering commitment to public service upon her retirement from Baltimore City government, and wishing her many years of continued happiness as she spends more time with her family, including her daughter and two grandchildren.

Recitals

  

   The City Council acknowledges that on June 27, 2014, it will say goodbye to one of the City Council's most dedicated and longserving employees.  Ms. Karen Randle has served the Mayor and City Council and people of Baltimore with loyalty and great dedication for more than thirty years.

 

   Having started her career with the City of Baltimore in 1977, Ms. Karen Randle joined the City Council in March of 1996.  Since that time, Ms. Karen Randle has served during the terms of four City Council Presidents: Lawrence A. Bell, Sheila Dixon, Stephanie Rawlings Blake, and Bernard C. Jack Young.  Appreciated by all, her judgment and sensitivity to the needs of their constituents has been valued by all of the City Council members she has served.

 

   As Executive Secretary of the City Council, Ms. Karen Randle performed her duties and responsibilities with prodigious cooperation and efficiency, effectively working cooperatively and resourcefully with the City's many public and private stakeholders and constituents.

 

   The City Council commends Ms. Karen Randle on her tremendous service to the City of Baltimore, her tireless dedication to ensuring the legislative process is transparent and efficient, and her great contributions to Baltimore City government.

 

   NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF BALTIMORE, That this body expresses its appreciation to Karen Randle, Executive Secretary to the Baltimore City Council, for her more than thirty years dedicated service to the Mayor and City Council and citizens of the City of Baltimore, and acknowledges her constant professionalism and ability to work cooperatively and attentively with all members of the City Council for the benefit of the residents of Baltimore City.

 

 

 

   AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be sent to  the Mayor, Karen Randle and Family, and the Mayor's Legislative Liaison to the City Council.
