FOR the purpose of approving the submission of an application to the State of Maryland to approve a project to conduct a community-based crime and conflict resolution initiative in Baltimore City designed to prevent and reduce crime through the use of community conferencing.

WHEREAS, The Community Conferencing Center, a non-profit organization, proposes to undertake a project to conduct a community-based crime and conflict resolution initiative in Baltimore City designed to prevent and reduce crime through the use of community conferencing; and

WHEREAS, The Community Conferencing Center has applied to the Department of Housing and Community Development of the State of Maryland for approval of the project and an allocation of tax credits for business entities and individuals that contribute to the project, under the Department’s Community Investment Tax Credit Program; and
