(Resolution)

Introduced by: President Dixon

A RESOLUTION ENTITLED

A COUNCIL RESOLUTION concerning
Title
False Alarms No More - Lets Raise the Priority

FOR the purpose of requesting that the Commissioner of the Baltimore City Police Department re-evaluate the response priority levels for private alarms in Baltimore City.
Body
Recitals

According to Police Department reports, the False Alarm Reduction Program has achieved its goal of dramatically reducing the number of false alarms in Baltimore City. Citizens are now required to pay fines when the alarms are found to be false, in addition to paying alarm registration fees.

Now that the number of false alarms has been reduced, the Police Department should consider reevaluating the response priority of the alarms that are going off. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF BALTIMORE, That this Body requests that the Commissioner of the Baltimore City Police Department re-evaluate the response priority levels for private alarms in Baltimore City.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be sent to the Mayor, the Commission...
