FOR the purpose of abrogating the automatic termination of Ordinance 07-474 {"Inclusionary Housing"}; providing for a special effective date; and generally relating to the promotion of affordable residential units.

  SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF BALTIMORE, That the Laws of Baltimore City read as follows:
 
      Ordinance 07-474
 
  SECTION 9.  AND BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That, except as provided in Sections 5 through 8 of this Ordinance, this Ordinance takes effect on the 30th day after the date it is enacted.  [It will remain effective for 5 years, and at the end of that period, with no further action by the Mayor and City Council, this Ordinance will be abrogated and of no further effect.]
 
  SECTION 2.  AND BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this Ordinance takes effect on July 1, 2012.
