Section 1. Be it ordained by the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, That the Laws of Baltimore City read as follows:

Part 2. Energy Tax
ยง 25-14. Rates.
(d) Annual adjustments.
For Fiscal Year [2006] 2020 and each subsequent fiscal year, these tax rates shall be adjusted by the percentage change in the [Washington-Baltimore] Baltimore-Columbia-Towson Consumer Price Index, as reported by the United States Department of Labor, comparing December of the preceding calendar year to the December of the next preceding calendar year.
Section 2. And be it further ordained, That the catchlines contained in this Ordinance are not law and may not be considered to have been enacted as a part of this or any prior Ordinance.
