Title: Approving the Submission of an Application to the State of Maryland to Approve a Project to Assist Neighborhood Organizations with Legal Representation FOR the purpose of approving the submission of an application to the State of Maryland to approve a project to assist neighborhoods in their community improvement efforts by having Community Law Center staff attorneys represent the interests of community leaders to protest liquor license renewals and license transfers for bars and package goods stores that refuse to be good neighbors in a community; engage legal strategies to combat vacant properties; stop drug dealers from using houses for the distribution of narcotics; and otherwise provide the legal assistance necessary to help neighborhood associations realize their revitalization goals.
