Supporting 'Say Yes to Education' in Baltimore
FOR the purpose of supporting Baltimore's proposal to the Say Yes to Education Foundation.

Recitals
Baltimore is applying to the Say Yes to Education Foundation for support in setting and achieving significant increases in the number of Baltimore City public school students who complete postsecondary education.
The Say Yes systems address four major obstacles for lowincome students: academic readiness, social and emotional readiness, health and wellbeing, and financial resources. Research shows that the earlier this approach is applied in a child?s scholastic career, the stronger the results in high school, as well as two and fouryear colleges.
Say Yes partners with every sector of the community from government organizations, the school district, and higher education institutions to communitybased organizations, businesses, and faithbased organizations to ensure a collaborative effort to dramatically increase high school and college graduation rates, as well as create a citywide transformation.
The City of Baltimore is committed to collaborating with key partners in this citywide turnaround strategy, as described by the following five Say Yes criteria:
