A RESOLUTION ENTITLED

A COUNCIL RESOLUTION concerning
Title
Community Conferencing Center - Community Investment Tax Credit Program

FOR the purpose of expressing approval for the application of the Community Conferencing Center to the Department of Housing and Community Development of the State of Maryland for approval of a project to conduct a community-based Crime and Conflict Resolution Initiative in Baltimore City to prevent and reduce crime through the use of the Community Conferencing Process.
Body
WHEREAS, The Community Conference Center, a nonprofit organization, proposes to undertake the project described above; and

WHEREAS, The Community Conference Center, a non-profit organization, has applied to the Department of Housing and Community Development of the State of Maryland for approval of the project and an allocation of tax credits for business entities that contribute to the Project, under the Department's Community Investment Tax Credit Program; and

WHEREAS, The Baltimore City Council approves the subject project, as a important tool in the fight to prevent and reduce crime within neighborhoods throughout the City of Baltimore.
